Ingredients

  • ½ cup of Mazola® Corn Oil
  • 5 green apples
  • 1 box of cake mix
  • 1 cup of water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 Tbs of butter
  • ½ cup of milk
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Butter a 9-inch cake pan well, including the bottom and sides of the pan, and give it a good spray with nonstick spray. Add a parchment paper round as well, to prevent any fruit from sticking to the pan. Preheat your oven to 350℉.
  2. In a small pan, add your sugar and keep stirring until it is brown and dissolved. Add the butter, then the milk and as soon as it thickens it’s ready. Add the sliced apples to the pan, then add the caramel over the apples, distributing evenly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cake mix and all wet ingredients including ½ cup of Mazola® Corn Oil. Pour the cake batter over the apples in the pan and spread evenly.
  4. Bake for 18-23 minutes. Let the cake cool for 20 minutes before serving. Garnish with whipped cream and enjoy!
