Ingredients
Marinated Carne Asada
- ½ cup Mazola® Corn Oil
- 5 pounds flap meat or skirt steak
- 2 cups soy sauce
- ½ white onion
- 2 ounces achiote paste
- Juice of 2 limes
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon meat tenderizer seasoning (or according to package directions)
- 1 bottle sparkling water
Guacamole
- 3 ripe avocados
- ¼ cup chopped white onion
- 1 chopped Roma tomato
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt to taste
Instructions
Marinated Carne Asada
- Add the soy sauce, Mazola® Corn Oil, onion, achiote paste, lime juice, garlic powder, black pepper, meat tenderizer seasoning, and sparkling water to a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour the marinade over the meat and coat evenly.
- Refrigerate and marinate for at least 2 hours.
- Grill the meat until cooked to your preferred doneness.
- Let the meat rest for about 5 minutes.
- Slice against the grain and serve with warm corn tortillas, fresh guacamole and lime.
Guacamole
- Mash the avocados
- Mix in the remaining ingredients
- Serve immediately
